I wanted to download all the things I saw as a stylist and designer, so I wrote a book. You see I believe in decorative karma, so I am always up for sharing. But deadlines being deadlines and books being the beautiful, permanent things that they are, I went into a white-knuckle panic after I had finished it… How will I tell the people who bought the book about other things that I come across? What if I find a better shade of white for north-facing spaces? What if I style a house that the world needs to see for its sheer gobsmacking beauty? There are just way too many good things out there – new colours, new ways to do things, new solutions to old problems – and it seems unfair not to share them. I decided that a blog with top-up information could support homelove. So if homelove the book has all the seriously chunky information in it – the real how to’s and must know’s, then homelove the blog is a place where new ideas can be found and we can share…

We are going to bring forward the closing date of the internship from February 28th. For no other reason than because we have truly been inundated. Such an inspired lot of notes and applications. It makes me really excited about the whole new guard of styling. There are a lot of super clever people out there. We are working on a short list of people to take tea with to take it to the next steps, so we will be in touch at the soonest.
I wanted to include a picture with this mini post but had zero time to ponder and didn’t really know what was the best visual pic, so offer you one of my favourite walls, Its illustrator Hugo Guiness’s wall of drawings at John Derians store in NYC. Pure styling porn.
